The first thing you have to do is specify the output destination and name for the captured image.

The file name will automatically have a number appended, in case you take multiple snapshots and do not want to waste you type in naming each and every image.

So, you can capture the entire screen (similar to the "Printscreen" key on your keyboard), active window or selection. All you have to do is press the "Capture" button and then you can instanly view results.

As expected, Capture-A-ScreenShot takes up a very small amount of system CPU and memory. There is no help file available, but that's because the tool is incredibly simple to use. We haven't come across any technical problems during our tests. However, Capture-A-ScreenShot lacks some very important functions.

For example, you cannot use keyboard shortcuts, minimize the tool to system tray, set it to automatically open the output directory or the snapshots after capturing them, and so on. But if you are a user who prefers a straightforward application, then perhaps Capture-A-ScreenShot is a good fit for you.
